Dr. Pankaj Singh

Publications, Scholarship & Thought Leadership

Ideas become meaningful only when they improve patient care.

Throughout my career, research has served a singular purpose: advancing clinical practice through evidence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

My scholarly work spans dental sleep medicine, temporomandibular disorders, orofacial pain, airway health, digital health, and clinical artificial intelligence. While peer-reviewed publications remain an important foundation, my greatest passion lies in translating scientific discoveries into practical solutions that improve patient outcomes, enhance clinician decision-making, and transform healthcare delivery.

Today, that philosophy extends beyond traditional academic research to include AI-enabled clinical platforms, evidence-based diagnostic systems, interdisciplinary care models, and healthcare innovation.

  • Clinical decision support
  • Healthcare informatics
  • Predictive analytics
  • Digital health
  • Precision dentistry
  • Evidence-based clinical workflows

Impact beyond publications

From research to clinical transformation.

The ultimate measure of research is not the number of papers published — it is the number of lives improved.

Over the course of my career, I have focused on translating scientific evidence into real-world clinical practice by developing standardized diagnostic protocols, interdisciplinary treatment models, educational curricula, and AI-assisted clinical decision support systems.

This translational philosophy ultimately led to the development of Appnea®, an intelligent clinical platform designed to bring evidence-based dental sleep medicine and orofacial pain care into everyday practice.

By combining published science with artificial intelligence, standardized documentation, and clinical workflow optimization, this work seeks to improve diagnostic accuracy, increase access to care, and reduce the burden on providers while improving patient outcomes.

Atlas of Oral Implantology, third edition — Pankaj P. Singh and A. Norman Cranin, Mosby/Elsevier

Textbook · Mosby / Elsevier — 3rd Edition

Featured

The standing reference on dental and oral implantology.

Now in its third edition with Mosby/Elsevier, the Atlas of Oral Implantology is a reference text used by postgraduate programs and practising clinicians worldwide. The book carries Dr. Singh’s thesis from the journal page into the operatory: computer-planned surgery, conservative bone harvesting, and the integration of regenerative biology with implant prosthetics.
